원격대학 교수학습센터에서 이루어지는 수업컨설팅 사례에 관한 연구

본 연구는 원격대학 교수학습센터에서 이루어지는 수업컨설팅의 실태를 파악하고 올바른 방향으로 활성화시키는데 도움을 주기 위해 실시되었다. 본 연구에서는 A원격대학 교수학습센터에서 수행하고 있는 수업컨설팅 관련 자료와 수업컨설팅을 수행하는 연구원들과의 면담자료를 토대로, 원격대학의 수업컨설팅 실태를 현상학적 접근방법으로 탐색하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 컨설턴트들은 교수자에게 강의 분석에 대한 정확한 피드백을 제공하는 것에 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 둘째, 원격대학 교수학습센터에서 수행되는 수업컨설팅은 온라인 강의에서 주요하게 고려하는 ‘카메라 응시와 관련된 시선처리’, ‘말투’, ‘자세’, ‘표정’ 등을 중심으로 이루어지고 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 교수자들 간에 자연스럽게 수행되는 동료컨설팅의 가능성을 파악할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해, 원격대학 교수자들은 수업 촬영 및 녹화에 대한 부담감이 적고 타 교수자에게 자신의 수업을 공유하는 것에 대한 거부감이 일반대학보다 상대적으로 낮다는 점을 파악할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 연구결과를 논의하고 원격대학 수업컨설팅의 효과적인 방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to examine the status of instructional consulting in cyber university and to activate the instructional consulting in the right direction. This research examined the status of instructional consulting in cyber university from the consulting-related data and the in-deep interviews. This qualitative data were analyzed by phenomenological perspective. The result of this study indicated three major findings. First, we were able to ascertain that consultants have felt the difficulty to provide an accurate feedback on teaching analysis to professor. Second, we were able to ascertain that instructional consulting by ‘center for teaching and learning’ in cyber university is centered around the factors, such as ‘professor’s eyes on camera’, ‘accent/tone’, ‘pose’, and ‘expression’. Third, we were able to ascertain the possibility of co-consulting. From this research, we were able to identify that cyber university professors do not have the burden of recording their classes and they have less reluctance to share their lessons to other professors than offe-line university professors have. In this study, these results and effective ways of instructional consulting in cyber university were discussed.
