To find out the educational possibilities of indoctrination, the paper has tried to examine two aspects of it: the negative and the affirmative one. And then the political and the religious spheres as well as the educational situation have been reviewed for establishing rooms for the positive features of it. Some philosophers’s main points of indoctrination have also been examined in the process of arguments, which are works by Hare, Wilson, Snook, Atkinson, and so on. As a result of examination, some aspects of indoctrination can be approved as desirable in the process of education. Particularly, the teacher’s modelling and imparting should be seriously taken into account. These cannot be regarded merely as necessary evils to ‘well-teaching’, but as necessary requirements for achieving the desirable state, a conceptual constituent of ‘education’.
