연구 목적: 어머니의 양육효능감과 양육방식이 유아의 자기통제에 미치는 영향력을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 육아정책연구소에서 일반에게 공개한 한국아동패널 7차년도 자료를 사용하였다. 연구대상은 유아와 유아의 어머니 1,565쌍이다. 검사도구의 신뢰도는 Cronbach’s α값으로 확인하였다. 어머니의 양육효능감(부모유능감, 부모불안감), 양육방식(온정적, 한계설정)이 유아의 자기통제에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 내용: 유아의 자기통제에 미치는 영향력을 알아보고자 1차로 투입한 어머니의 부모유능감과 부모불안감은 13.7%의 영향력을 미치고 있었다. 또한, 온정적 양육방식과 한계설정 양육방식은 유아의 자기통제에 2.8%의 영향력을 미치고 있었다. 이러한 영향력 중에서 어머니의 부모유능감, 온정적 양육방식, 한계설정 양육방식은 정적 효과, 부모불안감은 부적 효과를 지니고 있었다. 결론 및 제언: 이를 통해, 어머니의 부모유능감, 온정적 양육방식, 한계설정 양육방식의 긍정적 제고와 부모불안감의 저감을 위한 노력이 유아의 긍정적 발달을 위해 필요함을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of mothers’ parenting efficacy and parenting style on child’s self-control. The data of 1,565 child and mothers were extracted from the 7th Panel Study on Korean Children. The reliability of the test tool was confirmed by Cronbach's value. The data were analyzed with methods of the hierarchical regression analysis. The analysis results were as follows. Firstly, mothers’ parental competence and parental anxiety impacted on child’s self-control by 13.7%. Secondly, Mothers’ warm parenting style and permit-threshold setting parenting style on child’s self-control by 2.8%. Among these influences, mothers’ parental competence, mothers’ warm parenting style, permit-threshold setting parenting style showed positive effects, and parental anxiety had a negative effect. Through this, it was found that efforts to positively enhance the mothers parental competence, mothers’ warm parenting style, permit-threshold setting parenting style and to reduce mothers’ parental anxiety are necessary for the positive child’s development.
