사범대학생을 대상으로 한 교육사회학 과목 연계비교과 장애이해교육 강좌 실행연구 –디아스포라적 관점으로

연구 목적: 사범대학교 학생을 대상으로 한 교육사회학 연계 비교과 장애이해교육 강좌를 개발한다. 연구 방법: 장애를 디아스포라적 관점으로 이해하고 그것을 실제 교육 환경에 적용할 수 있는 역량을 예비교사에게 함양시킬 수 있는 장애이해교육 강좌를 실행하고 평가하는 것이다. 연구 내용: 첫째, 학생들이 장애를 디아스포라적 관점으로 이해하게 되면서, 장애인의 삶을 “나의 문제”로 바라볼 수 있게 되었다는 점에서 장애감수성을 함양시키는 데 기여하였다. 둘째, 교육사회학에 대한 이론적 지식을 기반으로 장애를 비판적으로 바라봄으로써, 배려가 아닌 불평등의 관점으로 장애를 이해할 수 있는 인식의 전화를 가져왔다. 셋째, 장애를 직접적으로 체험함으로써 장애를 실제 자신의 삶과 연결시키고 표현할 수 있게 되었다는 점에서, 배움을 실천으로 성장시킬 수 있는 역량을 함양시키는 데 기여하였다. 결론 및 제언: 강좌의 개발은 전반적으로 성공적이었다고 할 수 있으나, 교사전문성 신장을 위해서는 다양한 분야에서 장애에 관한 이론과 현장 경험을 가지고 있는 전문가들과의 협업이 필요하다.
Abstract
This study aimed to develop and evaluate an extracurricular course on understanding disability in connection with educational sociology for education college students. The course was designed to help education college students build their capabilities to understand disability from a diasporic point of view and apply such understanding to the real-time educational environment. The results of this study are as follows. First, by empowering students to understand disability from a diasporic point of view, the course could contribute to cultivating and enhancing students’ sensitivity and empathy for the disabled. Second, throughout the course, students experienced changes in their awareness toward disability. By recognizing the issue of inequality that disabled people have to endure, the students developed a deeper understanding based on the theoretical knowledge of educational sociology. Third, the course helped the students to cultivate capabilities that helped them apply their learning to practical situations. Despite of the success of the course, it needs to enhance the professionalism and expertise of teachers, continued collaboration with experts equipped with disability-related theories and field experiences in various areas is necessary.
