연구 목적: 본 연구는 부모의 일-가정 양립 갈등이 초등학교 고학년 자녀의 미디어기기 과의존에 미치는 영향과 주관적 행복감의 매개효과를 확인하고, 부모 성별에 따른 차이를 살펴보고자 한다. 연구 방법: 한국아동패널 13차 데이터 활용하였으며, 연구대상은 부모 1,397명이다. 자료분석은 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 적합도검증, 경로분석을 하였다. 연구 내용: 부모의 일-가정 양립 갈등이 초등학교 고학년 자녀의 미디어기기 과의존에 미치는 영향에는 경로분석을 실시하였고, 주관적 행복감의 매개효과는 부트스트래핑 기법으로 검증하였다. 결론 및 제언: 첫째 부와 모의 일-가정 양립 갈등이 증가할수록 초등학교 고학년 자녀의 미디어기기 과의존이 높아졌다. 둘째, 부의 일-가정 양립 갈등과 초등학교 고학년 자녀의 미디어기기 과의존의 관계에서 주관적 행복감은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 모의 일-가정 양립 갈등과 초등학교 고학년 자녀의 미디어기기 과의존의 관계에서 주관적 행복감이 부분 매개역할을 하였다. 이에 초등학교 고학년생의 미디어기기 과의존을 낮추기 위한 실천적 함의를 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of work-family strains of parents on the media device overdependence of upper elementary school children and the mediating effect of subjective happiness. It also seeks to investigate the differences according to parental gender. The study utilized data from the Panel Study on Korean Children Wave 13 report, with a sample of 1,397 parents. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, research model fit, and path analysis were performed. The study conducted path analysis to examine the influence of work-family strains of parents on the media device overdependence of upper elementary school children. The mediating effect of subjective happiness was verified using bootstrapping techniques. First, as the work-family strains of both fathers and mothers increased, the media device overdependence of upper elementary school children also increased. Second, the relationship between the work-family strains of fathers and the media device overdependence of upper elementary school children did not show statistically significant effects on subjective happiness. Third, subjective happiness played a partial mediating role in the relationship between the work-family strains of mothers and the media device overdependence of upper elementary school children. The study suggests practical implications for reducing media device overdependence among upper children.
