어머니의 양육스트레스가 어머니와 자녀의 자아존중감을 매개로 우울에 미치는 영향: 어머니와 자녀의 자기효과와 상대방효과를 중심으로

연구 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 어머니와 유아 자녀의 양육스트레스, 자아존중감, 우울 간 구조적 관계를 자기-상대방 상호의존성 모형의 적용을 통해 검증하는 것이다. 연구 방법: 본 연구는 2013년도(6차 년도) 및 2014년도(7차 년도) 한국아동패널 자료를 사용하여 자기-상대방 상호의존성 모델을 활용하여 분석한다. 연구 내용: 본 연구에서는 자기-상대방 상호의존모형을 활용하여 어머니의 양육스트레스가 어머니와 유아의 자아존중감과 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 결론 및 제언: 양육스트레스와 우울의 관계에서 어머니의 양육스트레스는 어머니의 우울에 유의한 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 자아존중감과 우울의 관계에서 어머니의 자아존중감은 어머니의 우울에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자아존중감-우울의 영향 관계에서 어머니는 자기효과가 상대방효과보다 더 크게 나타났고, 유아는 자기효과가 유의하고, 상대방효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 자아존중감의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 직접 자기효과인 어머니 양육스트레스-어머니 자아존중감-어머니 우울의 경로가 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 신체적･정신적 발달을 위해 모자 간의 상호작용 관계가 중요함 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationship between the child-rearing stress, self-esteem, and depression of the mother and her children through an actor and partner interdependent model. The researcher used the Panel Study on Korean Children data for 2013 (Year 6) and 2014 (Year 7) of the said survey project and the actor and partner interdependent model. In this study, the effect of mother’s parenting stress on mother’s and infant’s self-esteem and depression was investigated using the self-partner interdependence model. First, in the relationship between child-rearing stress and depression, the child-rearing stress of the mother turned out to have a significant impact on the depression of the mother. Second, in the relationship between self-esteem and depression, the self-esteem of the mother had a significant impact on the depression of the mother. Third, in the influential relationship between self-esteem and depression, the mother showed more of the actor effect than the partner effect, while the child showed a significant actor effect and a non-significant partner effect. Fourth, the verification of mediating effect of self-esteem showed that the path of the mother’s child-rearing stress - self-esteem of the mother - and mother’s depression, which was the direct actor effects, was significant. The findings of this study indicated that, for the physical and mental development of the child, the interactions between the mother and her child were important.
