연구 목적: 이 연구는 재활의료분야 의료사회복지사의 직무경험을 내러티브 주체의 내부자적 관점에서 분석하여 재활의료분야 의료사회복지사의 직무 내용과 고유성을 파악하는 데에 있다. 연구 방법: 연구 참여자 3명의 개별사례 속에서 드러나는 일반적인 현상의 성격을 심도 있게 분석하는 데에 적합한 Rosenthal의 내러티브-생애사 인터뷰 분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구 내용: 재활의료분야 의료사회복지사의 직무경험은 첫째, 재활의료분야 의료사회복지 업무의 실제적인 내용, 둘째, 재활의료분야 의료사회복지 업무 수행 시 경험하는 어려움, 셋째, 재활의료분야 의료사회복지사가 인식하는 의료사회복지사의 역할과 필요성으로 나타났다. 결론 및 제언: 재활의료분야 의료사회복지사의 직무 고유성은 첫째, 업무의 다양성을 통합한 환자 지원 중심의 실천, 둘째, 재활의료분야 의료사회복지 직무 수행 시 발휘되는 인식과 실행 체계, 셋째, 환자에 대한 다원적 이해, 넷째, 지역사회 차원에서 환자의 일상 회복 지원, 다섯째, 공감을 넘어 환자의 입장에 서기로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 실천방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the job experiences of medical social workers in rehabilitation medicine and understand the content and uniqueness of their job. Using Rosenthal’s narrative-biographical interview analysis method, the study revealed three dimensions of their job experiences: The actual content of their work, the difficulties they face, and their recognized role and necessity. The study identified five major aspects that make the job of medical social workers in rehabilitation medicine unique: Patient-centered support, a multidimensional understanding of patients, supporting patients’ daily lives in the community, going beyond empathy, and adopting a patient’s perspective. Finally, practical suggestions were proposed based on the research findings.
