연구 목적: 베트남에서 농산물 과잉 생산 문제는 근래에 발생한 새로운 현상이다. 1980년대까지 생산성이 낮았고 먹을 것이 부족하였다. 이후 새로운 생산기술이 도입되어 생산성이 향상되고 시장경제 도입에 의해 수요와 공급에 의한 가격 결정 시스템이 확립되면서 농산물 과잉 생산이라는 현상이 사회적 문제로 대두되게 되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 베트남에서 농산물 과잉 생산이 발생하는 배경에 대한 인류학적 연구는 없다. 본 연구에서는 베트남의 농산물 과잉 생산 발생 현황과 그것에 대한 대응을 명확히 할 것이다. 연구 방법: 베트남에서의 인류학적 현지조사와 문헌조사를 통해 농산물 과잉 생산의 발생 현황에 대하여 살펴본다. 연구 내용: 과잉 생산되는 농산물의 종류, 농산물 과잉 생산이 발생하는 배경, 농산물 과잉 생산에 대한 농민과 정부의 대응 방식에 대하여 살펴본다. 결론 및 제언: 농산물 과잉 생산은 공급이 수요를 능가할 때 발생한다. 여기에서 수요라는 것은 구입할 수 있는 능력이 있는 사람만을 대상으로 한 것이며 소비할 능력이 없는 사람들은 여기에서 제외된다.
Abstract
Research purposes: The problem of overproduction of agricultural products in Vietnam is a new phenomenon in recent years. Until the 1980s, productivity was low and food was scarce. Since productivity has improved through the introduction of new production technologies and a price determination system based on supply and demand has been established through the introduction of a market economy, overproduction of agricultural products has emerged as a social problem. Nevertheless, there are no anthropological studies on the backgrounds by which overproduction of agricultural products occurs in Vietnam. This study examines the current state and responses of overproduction of agricultural products in Vietnam. Through anthropological field research and literature research in Vietnam, this study examines the current status of overproduction of agricultural products. This study looks at types of agricultural products that are overproduced, the background of overproduction of agricultural products, and government and farmers’ response to overproduction of agricultural products. Overproduction of agricultural products occurs when supply exceeds demand. Here, demand refers only to those who have the ability to purchase, and those who do not have the ability to consume are excluded from this.
