연구 목적: 이 연구의 목적은 물류기업의 ESG경영의 경쟁력 비교 분석 연구를 통해 상대적으로 취약한 중소기업의 ESG경영 활성화 필요성을 실증하는데 있다. 연구 방법: 한국거래소에서 수집된 물류기업들의 최근 3년간 ESG 자료를 통계분석 하였다. 연구 내용: 물류기업들의 ESG평가 등급의 현황 분석과 대/중/소 물류기업간의 ESG평가 비교 분석을 통해 중소기업의 ESG경영 활성화 필요성을 검증하였다. 결론 및 제언: 물류기업의 ESG등급 평균은 2.72수준이며 대기업(4.6)과 중소기업(2.2)간 등급 비교 시 상당한 차이가 있었다. 환경영역은 높은 수준이나 안전, 인권과 관련된 사회와 지배구조 영역에서는 시급한 개선이 필요하다고 평가되었다. 중소 물류기업의 ESG경영 활성화 기반 조성이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the necessity of revitalizing ESG management of relatively weak SMEs through a comparative analysis of ESG management competitiveness of logistics companies. Statistical analysis was conducted on the ESG data of the last three years of logistics companies collected from the Korea Exchange. The need for revitalization of ESG management in SMEs was verified through analysis of the current status of ESG evaluation grades of logistics companies and comparative analysis of ESG evaluation among large/medium/small logistics companies. The average ESG rating of logistics companies is 2.72, and there is a significant difference when comparing ratings between large companies (4.6) and small and medium-sized enterprises (2.2). It was evaluated that the environment area was of a high level, but urgent improvement was needed in the social and governance areas related to safety and human rights. It is necessary to create a basis for revitalizing ESG management of small and medium-sized logistics companies.
