본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 자녀가치가 온정적・통제적 양육행동을 통해 유아기 자녀의 자아존중감에 미치는 매개효과를 조사하는데 있다. 본 연구는 정서적 및 도구적 자녀가치로 구분하여 두 연구모형을 구조방정식을 통해 분석하였다. 또한, 한국아동패널 어머니와 자녀 2,150쌍의 데이터를 사용하였고 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 정서적 자녀가치는 온정적 양육행동을 매개로 하여 온정적 양육행동을 매개로 유아의 자아존줌감에 영향을 미치는 완전매개효과가 검증되었다. 도구적 자녀가치는 유아의 자아존중감에 대한 직, 간접적인 영향력이 검증되지 않았다. 이를 통해, 정서적 자녀가치와 도구적 자녀가치의 상이한 영향력이 입증되었다. 연구결과를 기초로 유아의 자아존중감 향상을 위해 어머니의 정서적 자녀가치를 높이기 위한 개입이 제안된다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the mediating effects of control and warm parenting behavior in the relation between mother’s value and self esteem of child. The research analyzed the two research models-mother’s instrumental and emotional value with SEM. The study used 2,150 paired mother and children data in the Panel study on Korean Children and drew the following conclusion. The mother’s emotional value effected on child’s self esteem by fully mediating warm parenting behavior. The mother’s instrumental value did not impacted directly and indirectly on child’s self esteem. From it, we approved different effect on the development of child’s self esteem. Based on the results the study provided significant interventions for improving the mother’s emotional value and self esteem.
