반려견과의 교감활동이 경도인지장애 노인의우울과 스트레스에 미치는 영향

초록

연구 목적: 반려견 교감 활동이 경도인지장애 노인의 우울과 스트레스에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 방법: I시에 위치한 치매노인센터를 이용하는 경도인지장애 노인 12명을 대상으로 동질적인 실험집단(6명)과 통제집단(6명)으로 구성하여 활동도우미견 2두를 활용한 프로그램을 주 1회, 50분, 총 12회기로 실시하였다. 효과 검증을 위해 각 집단에게 사전과 사후에 우울 평정척도와 코티솔 측정 검사을 실시하고 분석하였다. 연구 내용: 반려동물과의 교감활동 프로그램을 재구성하였으며, 그 결과 첫째, 경도인지장애 노인의 우울 전체 점수와 하위영역인 긍정우울과 부정우울 점수에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 코티솔 스트레스 호르몬 분석결과 두 집단 간의 스트레스가 감소되어 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 및 제언: 반려동물과의 교감활동이 경도인지장애 노인의 우울과 스트레스 감소에 긍정적인 영향이 있음을 시사한다. 결론을 바탕으로 제언하면 첫째, 추후 연구에는 뇌파연구와 같은 과학적 연구를 바탕으로 반려동물과의 교감 연구의 한계점을 높여 연구할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 프로그램 개발 연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 참여 인원이 적어 일반화에 하는 데 한계가 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how dog communication activities affect the depression and stress of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. The study method consisted of a homogeneous experimental group (6 people) and a control group (6 people) for 12 elderly people with mild cognitive disabilities using the Dementia Elderly Center located in I city, and conducted a program using two companion animals once a week, 50 minutes, and a total of 12 times. This study reconstructed the communication activity program with companion animals, as a result, first, there was a significant difference in the overall score of depression in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment and the scores of positive and negative depression, which are subareas. Second, as a result of cortisol stress hormone analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference in stress between the two groups due to reduced stress. This suggests that communication activities with pets have a positive effect on depression and stress reduction in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. To suggest based on the conclusion, first, in future studies, it is necessary to study by raising the limitations of communication research with companion animals based on scientific research such as brainwave research. Second, research on program development is needed. Third, there is a limit to generalization due to the small number of participants.
