연구 목적: 본 연구는 노인이 인식하는 사회자본이 외로움과 우울에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고, 사회자본과 우울과의 관계에서 외로움의 매개효과를 검증하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 연구 방법: 이러한 목적을 위해 K지역에 거주하는 노인 357명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS와 Macro Process program을 활용하여 상관관계 분석, 다중회귀 분석 및 외로움의 매개 효과의 유의도 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 내용: 노인이 인식하는 사회자본은 외로움과 우울과 유의한 부적관계를 가지며, 사회자본은 외로움과 우울에 유의한 부적 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 또한, 외로움은 사회자본과 우울과의 관계에서 부분 매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 및 제언: 노인의 외로움과 우울을 예방하고 경감시키기 위한 개입전략으로 사회자본 확대에 관한 함의와 추후 연구에 관한 제언을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study investigates the impact of social capital on loneliness, and depression and examines loneliness as a mediator of the relationship between social capital and depression among community-dwelling elderly. For this purpose, a survey was conducted and 357 elderly resided in the K province participated. The data were analyzed by using SPSS and Macro Process program for the correlation, multiple regression and the mediating effect analysis. The results of the study showed that social capital were negatively related to loneliness and depression and social capital was a significant variable in explaining loneliness and depression In addition, loneliness was a significant partial mediator of the relationship between social capital and depression. In conclusion, implications for protecting and reducing loneliness and depression regrading expanding social capital of the elderly and recommendations for the further study were provided.
