Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends for the psychological and emotional related programs for military soldiers from 2005 to 2022, targeting the dissertations and papers published in academic journals in Korea. Using databases of RISS, NANET, KISS, SCHOLAR, and DBpia, data were collected with keywords of ‘military, soldier, psychology, emotion, program.’ Basic information, research subjects, research methods, and research contents were analyzed for 42 researches, including 21 dissertations and 21 published papers. Researches from 2010 to 2019 increased, but decreased after 2020, and programs for army soldiers were intensively conducted, and the number of programs for general and maladaptive soldiers was almost the same. Psychological and emotional counseling programs for more than 21 people in the experimental/control group were conducted the most. In addition, researchers and academic journals were published in the order of counseling psychology and social welfare majors. Domestic research trends were analyzed to draw conclusions, and academic and practical suggestions were made for positive improvement in the psychological and emotional aspects of military soldiers experiencing difficulties after COVID-19.
