초록
본 연구는 FIR(Fall Image Recognition) 적외선 열화상 데이터와 IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) 센서 데이터를 기반으로 실시간 낙상 예측을 위한 LSTM-TCN 하이브리드 모델을 제안한다.
Abstract
This study proposes an LSTM–TCN hybrid model for real-time fall prediction using FIR (Fall Image Recognition) thermal imaging data and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor signals. The LSTM component models long-term postural dynamics, while the TCN learns short-term acceleration patterns, enabling accurate prediction of subtle pre-fall changes. To address class imbalance and enhance generalization, Focal Loss and cross-validation were applied, and training efficiency was further improved through an attention mechanism and cosine annealing. Experimental results show that the proposed model achieves 99.81% accuracy, 0.9995 AUC, and a 0.994 F1-score, with an average response time of 0.12 s—satisfying real-time processing requirements. These findings demonstrate that the proposed hybrid model can serve as a practical tool for proactively preventing fall incidents in healthcare and safety settings.
