Abstract

This article introduces the characteristics of Ahn Jung-geun's study in China, examines China's perception and position on the excavation of Ahn Jung-geun's remains, and estimates the burial site of Ahn Jung-geun's remains. An important characteristic of the Chinese academic community's research on Ahn Jung-geun is that articles published at international academic conferences account for a large proportion. There are also many articles on Ahn Jung-geun's idea of peace in the East. China's perception and attitude toward the excavation of Ahn Jung-geun's remains are greatly influenced by North Korea. he Chinese government has made joint excavations between the two Koreas a prerequisite for cooperation. At the time of the excavation in 2008, a Chinese researcher disagreed with South Korea's claim. The "Dongsanpo Cemetery theory" is based on a newspaper report that Ahn Jung-geun's body was buried in a "cemeteries." However, it is unlikely that Japan, which showed a meticulous attitude of not handing over the remains to the bereaved family, will disclose Ahn Jung-geun's burial site. As a burial site for Ahn Jung-geun's remains, it is necessary to consider the space from the northern side of the prison wall to the waterway that can be guarded and controlled.
