본 논문은 리터러시 개념이 시대적 흐름에 따라 전통적인 독해 및 쓰기 능력을 넘어 다양한 미디어 형식을 포괄하는 디지털 리터러시로 진화하고 있는 현상을 조명한다. 이러한 진화는 인공지능(AI) 기술의 발전과 밀접하게 연결되어 있으며, 최근에는 생성형 AI의 도입으로 AI 리터러시의 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다. 따라서 교육 방법론의 혁신적 변화를 통해 학습자들이 언어를 보다 효과적으로 습득하고, 미래 사회의 요구에 부응할 수 있는 역량을 갖추도록 하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문은 전통적인 영어교육 교수법과 최신 기술이 접목되는 지점에서 가능해진 혁신적 변화를 탐구하며, 이러한 변화를 뒷받침하는 다양한 교수법의 변화 사례를 제시한다.
Abstract
This paper examines the evolution of literacy, which has moved beyond traditional reading and writing skills to include the understanding and use of various media formats such as text, images, audio, and video, known as digital literacy. This evolution is closely connected to the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, and the recent shift to generative AI has further emphasized the importance of AI literacy. The paper emphasizes the need for innovative changes in educational methodologies to help learners effectively acquire language skills and meet the diverse demands of future societies. It explores how traditional English teaching methods can be transformed through the integration of new technologies and presents various cases of methodological innovation.
