Abstract
From the viewpoint of the forensic science, securing the authenticity of a photograph is a very important factor to have value as a major evidence of crimes. In order to cope with the various and sophisticated forgeries that appear in digital image, a number of researches have been carried out to determine whether an image is forged. In this paper, algorithms detecting inconsistent image frequency distribution are implemented among various kinds of image forgery detection algorithms. As a result of implementing two most known image frequency distribution detection algorithms and verifying them, about 92% of the forged digital images could be effectively detected.
