교도소 내 장애인 재활직업훈련에 대한 장애 수용자 및 교정 관계자의 인식-군산교도소 사례를 중심으로-

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the recognition of prisoners with disability and their correctional staff of rehabilitation vocational training in prison. Two research tasks were as followers: First, what was the speciality of the disabled treatment in prison? Second, what was the recognition of disabled and correctional authorities as to rehabilitation vocational training in prison? Participants in this study were prisoners with disability and correctional authorities in the Gunsan correction institution. This study was conducted by qualitative case study to achieve its goal. As a result of interviews with the disabled included 3 dimensions(motivation and disability specification, process, and outcome), 6 categories, and 17 concepts. As a result of interviews with correctional authorities did 2 dimensions(correction and vocational rehabilitation training), 7 categories, 23 concepts. From these results, when we considered the most important goal for correcting social norms, the status of rehabilitation vocational training in prison should be different in quality from that of the disabled outside the prison. This required social consensus from a human rights perspective on the disabled prisoners and their rehabilitation vocational training. To this end, we proposed the development of fundamental humanities, such as justice.
