Abstract

The current study focused on the sexual homicide against women in Korea with victim-offender relationship. Current study was conducted to explore the differences between sexual homicide by acquaintance or non-acquaintnace offender, and further to find out which variables best distinguish sexual homicide by them. According to analysis, sexual homicide by acquaintance is relatively more than crime by non-acquaintnace offender. Demographic data was similar, but there were differences in pre-criminal act behavior and crime scene behavior variables. The variable which best distinguish homicide by acquaintance and non-acquaintance is overkill. We present some suggestions and limitations on the utilization of these result.
