초록
This study explored the effects of SSI program related to bioethics. Through the SSI program related to bioethics, the preservice teachers discussed SSI teaching methods and bioethics education. Then, the preservice teachers clarified and explored clinical trials, and wrote the essay using argumentation about the clinical trials. Finally, they reflected about SSI teaching and learning. The results indicated that the preservice teachers mentioned bioethics, protection of clinical participants, voluntary participation, and etc., and they used both rational factors based on logical judgment and emotional factors such as feelings in the decision-making process regarding participation of clinical trials. In the semantic network map of the clinical trial participant group, the centrality of the keywords such as 'safety guarantees', 'medicines', and 'sufficient information on clinical stages' were high in order. On the other hand, non-participation group in the clinical trial represented the high centrality of 'the risk of side effects', 'negative perspectives', and 'negative results'. In addition, the clinical trial conditional participation group represented the high centrality of 'the risk of side effects', 'medicine', and 'safety unsecured'. Then, the preservice teachers mentioned that through SSI teaching and learning, students might improve abilities of communication, decision- making, and critical thinking, and further have an opportunity of value judgement processes. By providing opportunities for prospective teachers to deal with SSI related to bioethics during the teacher training course, they can recognize unstructured problem situations, and further experience informal reasoning and value judgement.
