경찰관련학과 대학생의 진로탐색행동이 진로적응력에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 조절초점의 매개효과

이 연구는 경찰관련 학과를 선택한 대학생들의 진로탐색행동이 진로적응력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보기 위한 연구이며 진로탐색행동이 조절초점의 매개효과가 어떻게 나타나는지에 대해서도 검토해 보고자 한다. 이러한 영향관계 분석을 위하여 부산, 울산, 경남 지역에 위치한 7개의 경찰관련 학과 재학생 420명을 대상으로 설문지를 배부하여 이중 응답학생 380명을 대상으로 분석한 결과 우선, 경찰관련 학과 재학 중인 대학생의 진로탐색행동은 학생의 진로적응력과 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 경찰관련 학과 재학 중인 대학생의 진로탐색행동이 조절초점과도 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 이러한 조절초점은 진로적응력에도 일정부분 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 진로탐색행동은 조절초점에 의해 매개되어 진로적응력에 간접적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 이를 통해 경찰관을 목표로 입학하는 학생들이 대다수인 경찰관련 학과 학생들은 입학 초기부터 진로와 관련서 있는 교과 및 비교과활동, 예를 들어 관련기관 견학, 경찰관 특강, 경찰업무 및 과학수사 체험 등 적극적인 탐색과정을 경험하도록 하는 경우 진로적응력이 높아지고 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 향상초점과 예방초점으로 구분되는 조절초점을 다양한 진로상담을 통해 형성할 수 있도록 하는 것이 진로적응력에 도움이 될 것으로 본다. 이러한 결과를 학과 교과과정이나 학생 상담을 통해 적절히 반영하는 것은 향후 재학생 이탈율 방지 및 경찰관 시험 합격 후 직무수행 역량을 발휘하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The study was designed to analyze the impact of career search behavior on college students who chose to study police departments in order to look at career adaptability. Also, the intermediate effects of the regulatory focus are reviewed. For this analysis of influence relations, 420 students from seven police departments located in Busan, Ulsan and South Gyeongsang Province were found to have a significant influence on career advancement by university students attending police departments. In addition, it has been shown that the focus of the control on career exploration by university students attending police departments has a significant effect on career adaptability. Finally, it was shown that career path search behavior was mediated by the regulatory focus, indirectly having a significant effect on career adaptability. This shows that students who enter police departments with the aim of becoming police officers experience active search processes such as field trips, special lectures, and experience from the beginning of admission to police departments, which are mostly related to police officers. In addition, it is believed that the regulatory focus, which is divided into improvement and prevention focus, can be formed through various career counseling, which will help the career stress.
