韓國海運企業의 經營的 特性이 財務構造에 미치는 影響에 관한 實證硏究

본 연구는 해운산업의 경영특성을 고려하여 해운기업의 재무구조에 주요한 영향을 미치는 요인들을 도출하고, 이들 요인이 해운기업의 재무구조에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 IMF 외환위기 상황 이후를 중심으로 실증 분석하였다. 분석결과, 1998년부터 2001년까지의 검증기간 동안의 원양해운기업의 고정비율인 고정자산의 적합도와 부채비율간에는 외환위기전후인 검증년도에 걸쳐서 매우 강한 정의 영향관계를 보이고 있으며, 외환손익비율과 부채비율의 관계도 영향관계가 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 그러나 외항선사의 기업규모인 매출액, 외항선사의 경영위험내지는 영업위험을 표시하는 매출변화율, 외항선사의 이자지급능력을 나타내는 이자보상배수, 해운산업의 특성을 반영하는 용선수입율, 그리고 외항선사의 현금흐름과 종속변수인 부채비율과는 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the factors which affect the financial structure after the exchange crisis. The period following the crisis was extraordinary in the sense that the exchange rate increased drastically. Major results of this research are as follow: There is a strong positive relationship between fixed asset and debt ratio over the period examined. And the gain and loss ratio of foreign exchange is also related over the same period. On the other hand, such variables as sales amount (which represents the size of a firm), sales change rate (which represents the business risk), interest-profit ratio (which represents the ability to pay interests), chartering income rates and cash flow turned out to have no relationship with debt ratio.
