순차적 맘퀴스트 지수를 활용한 해운서비스기업의 생산성 변화 결정요인 분석

본 연구는 해운서비스기업을 대상으로 순차적 맘퀴스트 지수를 활용하여 생산성 변화를 분석하고, 이러한 생산성 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는데 연구목적이 있다. 해운서비스기업 42개의 2010년에서 2015년까지 재무제표 자료를 기초로 순차적 맘퀴스트 지수를 활용하여 생산성 변화를 분석한 결과에서 해운서비스기업의 생산성은 연평균 4% 감소하였고, 효율성은 연평균 8.0% 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 패널회귀분석을 활용하여 순차적 맘퀴스트 지수에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과에서 해운서비스기업의 유동비율, 자본집약도 및 판매비집약도는 t기 순차적 맘퀴스트 지수에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, t-1기 순차적 맘퀴스트 지수, 자기자본비율, 및 인건비집약도는 t기 순차적 맘퀴스트 지수에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 일반관리비집약도 및 시장점유율은 순차적 맘퀴스트 지수에 유의적인 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 해운서비스기업에게 관리적 관점에서 시사점을 제공한다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the factors affecting the sequential Malmquist index. First, the analysis of all shipping companies shows that the current ratio, capital intensity, and selling expense intensity had significant positive effects on the sequential Malmquist index in current period. The employment cost intensity and the sequential Malmquist index in previous period had significant negative impacts on the sequential Malmquist index in current period. Second, the analysis of large-scale shipping companies shows that the current ratio had a significant positive effect on the sequential Malmquist index in current period. Third, the analysis of small- and medium-sized shipping companies indicates that the current ratio and capital intensity had significant positive effects on the sequential Malmquist index in current period, whereas employment cost intensity, equity ratio, and the sequential Malmquist index in previous period had significant negative impacts on the sequential Malmquist index in current period.
