남북 항만 간 해상운송은 화물의 운송이라는 본래적 역할 외에도 남북의 경제교류 활성화에 기여하는 수단이 되기도 한다. 본 연구는 해운항만물류정보시스템(Port-MIS)으로부터 남북 항만 간 해상 교역이 가장 활발했던 2006년부터 2008년까지 ‘선박 입출항 현황’ 데이터를 수집하였다. 기종점 시각화와 베이지안 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 분석하여 남북 주요 항만 간 선박종류별, 월별 운송 현황 분석을 통해 남북 간 해상운송의 특징을 도출하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 남북 관계 개선 시, 남북 항만 간 해상 운송에 고려해야 할 사항들을 다각적으로 검토하였다. 남북 간 해상운송과 관련된 화물별 통계의 체계적으로 수집의 필요성과 데이터 기반의 한반도 복합물류 청사진의 필요성도 제언하였다.
Abstract
In addition to its primary function of transporting goods between North and South Korean ports, shipping also contributes to the revitalization of economic relationships between the two countries. This study collected data on 'vessel arrival and departure status' between North and South ports between 2006 and 2008 using data from Port-MIS. For study, Origin-destination visualization and Bayesian networks analysis were employed in the present study, while features of inter-Korean shipping were derived by evaluating the monthly transport status by ship type between major ports in North and South Korea. Along with the future improvement of inter-Korean relationships, various aspects of shipping between North and South Korean ports might be analyzed from the perspective of this paper's findings. In addition, the necessity for a data-driven complex logistics plan for the Korean Peninsula and the systematic gathering of statistics for each cargo involved in shipping between the two Koreas are suggested.
