근현대 광주⸱전남 잡지의 지형과 특성

이 연구는 1900년부터 1980년 사이에 국내에서 발간된 근현대 광주·전남 잡지의 현황과 특성을 검토하였다. 이를 위해 본고는 최근까지 발굴 수집된 잡지 83종을 대상으로 시기별·종별·지역별 분포도와 통시적 변화 양상 등을 통계적으로 분석하여, 광주·전남 지역 잡지의 존재 양상과 특징을 밝히고자 하였다. 광주·전남 잡지를 검토한 결과, 연대별 증감 추이는 시대적 흐름에 따라 발간 비중이 전체적으로 증가하는 경향성을 보여주었으며, 특히 1970년대에 정점을 이루었다. 종별 잡지 편수는 일반잡지, 공공잡지, 학술지, 기타 순을 보였으며, 학문분야별로는 문학 분야가 전체 51종(68%)로 가장 높은 비중을 보였다. 한편 문학잡지 장르별 편수는 기타, 시, 소설의 순을 보였으며, 기타 장르는 시와 산문, 논단과 번역문이 혼합된 교지를 비롯해 동인지, 회지, 기관지 등으로 나타났다. 그리고 광주·전남 잡지 83종의 지역별 분포 현황을 살펴보면, 광주와 목포 지역이 61종(73.6%)의 비중을 보여 그동안의 광주⸱전남의 잡지 발간이 주로 광주와 목포 지역에서 많이 진행되어 왔음을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 연구 결과는 광주·전남 지역 잡지의 발간 현황과 특성을 제한적이나마 확인했다는데 의의가 있다. 하지만 보다 적확하고 정확한 연구를 위해서는 아직 발굴하지 못한 광주·전남 잡지의 실재 확인과 실체 확정 과정이 보다 엄밀하고 적극적으로 수행되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study examined the current status and characteristics of modern and contemporary Gwangju and Jeonnam magazines published in Korea from 1900 to 1980. For this purpose, this study analyzed the distribution charts and diachronic changes of 83 magazines collected until recently by period, type, and region, and tried to clarify the existence and characteristics of magazines in Gwangju and Jeonnam. As a result of reviewing Gwangju and Jeonnam magazines, the trend of increasing and decreasing by time-by-time showed a tendency to increase the proportion of publications as a whole according to the trend of the times. The number of magazines by type was in the order of general magazines, public magazines, journals, and others. By academic field, the literature sector accounted for the highest percentage of 51species(68%). On the other hand, the number of literary magazines by genre showed the orders, poetry, and novel, and other genres showed a mixture of poetry and prose school magazine, a club magazine, group magazine. And the distribution of 83magazines in Gwangju and Jeonnam showed that 61 magazines(73.6%) were distributed in Gwangju and Mokpo, indicating that the publication of magazines in Gwangju and Jeonnam has been mainly conducted in Gwangju and Mokpo. The results of this study are meaningful in that they have confirmed the current status and characteristics of magazines in Gwangju and Jeonnam. However, for more accurate and accurate research, the confirmation of the reality and the confirmation of the reality of Gwangju and Jeonnam magazines, which have not yet been discovered, should be carried out more strictly and actively.
