상호 정서적 학대로 결혼위기를 겪는 부부의 관계회복을 위한 통합적 부부상담

본 연구는 상호간의 정서적 학대로 결혼위기를 경험하는 부부의 관계 회복을 위해 통합적 부부상담을 진행한 사례연구로서, 내담자 부부의 긍정적 상호작용을 증진시키기 위해서 가트만 부부치료의 개념 및 기법을 적용하였다. 심각한 정서적 갈등을 겪는 부부는 극단적인 분노를 자해 및 가출 등의 위험한 행동으로 표출하면서 지속적인 언어폭력을 행사하였고, 불안, 불면, 우울 등으로 정신과 치료를 받고 있는 상태였다. 이에 연구대상자 부부의 관계회복을 위해 개별화된 통합적 부부상담을 설계하여 시행하였다. 대략 매 회당 120분으로 총 10회를 진행하였다. 상담의 사전사후 변화를 측정하기 위해 치료초기에 명확한 목표를 설정하여 목표달성을 확인하였고, 변화의 질적 확인을 위해 매 회기마다의 내용을 녹취 및 분석하여 확인하였다. 또한 부부의 변화에 대해 다각적인 파악을 하기 위해, 보조적으로 결혼위기 진단검사 및 결혼만족도를 사용하여 사전사후의 점수 변화도 파악하였다. 주요 결과로서 통합적 부부상담은 부부 간의 신뢰성, 정서조율, 의사소통, 갈등관리, 부부 의미 등을 증진시키는데 유용하였고, 결혼 위기 해소 및 결혼 만족도를 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 상호 정서적 학대로 결혼위기에 당면한 부부의 부부관계 회복을 위해 통합적 부부상담이 효과적임을 확인하였다.
Abstract
Objectives: This study explored the use and results of marital counseling for couples exposed to higher divorce risk caused by mutual emotional abuse. For the improvement of the positive interaction, Gottman Couple Therapy was applied. Method: In this study, ten 180-minute sessions were performed on couples. For qualitative evaluation, the researcher conducted a process-and-change analysis of the transcripts and post-session interviews with the participants. Also, for quantitative evaluation, the researcher performed marriage crisis diagnostic tests and marriage satisfaction tests to identify the before-and-after differences of counseling. Results: Couples had improved their trust, emotional coordination, communication, conflict management, and meaning sharing. Also, the level of marriage crisis was lower, and the level of marital satisfaction was higher. Conclusions: Integrative marital counseling was proved to be an effective model for improvement of the marital relationship of couples exposed to high divorce risk caused by mutual emotional abuse.
