초록

본 연구의 목적은 인천광역시 시민들을 대상으로 개인의 생활환경과 사회자본이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하는 것이다.이 연구에서 시민의 삶의 질을 설명하는 요인으로는 개인의 생활환경과 사회자본이다. 개인의 생활환경은 소득, 건강, 가족, 공공서비스, 생활편의시설 등이고, 사회자본 변수는 신뢰, 단체참여, 지인 네트워크 등을 선정하였다. 본 연구의 설문 표본은 인천에 거주하는 시민들을 대상으로 각 지역구별 비례층화표본추출법을 사용하여 취합하였다. 설문 취합 후, SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 회귀분석 등의 통계방법을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 개인의 생활환경 변수 중에서는 소득의 만족도가 삶의 질에가장 큰 영향을 미쳤으며 생활편의시설, 가족, 건강 등의 순으로 삶의 질에영향을 주었다. 사회자본 변수는 신뢰변수가 가장 크게 삶의 질에 영향을주었으며, 단체참여가 많을수록 삶의 질은 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 분석결과를 근간으로 제시한 시사점은 생활편의시설에 대한 점검과 확보를 통해서 지역주민의 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 사회적 기반을 마련해야 하고, 사회자본의 확충을 위해 다양한 사회계층이 단체에 참여할 수 있도록 정부차원에서 실시하는 홍보활동의 필요성 등이다.

Abstract

This paper is aimed to examine the influences of individual living environment and social capital on the quality of life for Incheon citizens. The factors that explain the citizens’ quality of life are the personal living environment and social capital. Individual living environment factors consist of the satisfaction with income, health, family, public service, and living facilities. Social capital factors are composed of trust, group participation, and acquaintance network. The survey data was collected by using proportionate stratified sampling method for residents in Incheon. To analyze the collected data, statistical methods such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were applied with the SPSS 18.0 program. As a result, the satisfaction of income had the greatest effect on the quality of life among the living environment variables, and the quality of life was affected by the satisfaction of living facilities, family, and health. The factors of trust among social capital variables had the greatest effect on the quality of life, and the quality of life tended to increase as the group participation increased. Based on the findings, I suggested that the social infrastructure should be established to improve the quality of life of local residents, by inspecting and securing the living facilities. Besides, government need to implement the activities for public relations so that various social groups can join in some organizations to expand social capital.
