아동친화도와 지역사회 만족과의 관계 연구: 인천광역시 서구 아동·청소년을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 아동친화도와 지역사회 만족과의 관계를 파악하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 아동친화도시 조성을 위해 실시한 인천 서구의 아동실태조사 자료(초·중·고등학생 708명)를 활용하였으며, 연구모형 검증을 위해 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 아동친화도 6대 영역 중 “놀이와 여가” 영역이 초·중·고등학생 집단별 분석 및 전체 분석에서 모두 지역사회 만족도에 유의한 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 아동·청소년의 지역사회 만족도 증진을 위해 ‘아동의 놀 권리’ 보장의 원칙에 따라 지역사회 내에서 안전하게 쉬거나 놀 수 있는 여건을 확대하는 방향으로서 지방자치단체의 다각적이며 실증적 노력의 필요성을 제언하였다. 그러나 이 연구는 특정 지역의 자료를 활용한 연구 결과라는 점에서 한계가 있으며, 추후 전국단위 아동친화도시 데이터 수집 및 활용을 통한 후속연구가 필요하다.
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between child friendliness and community satisfaction among children and adolescents. This study used data from a survey of children in Seo-gu, Incheon(708 elementary, middle, and high school students) conducted to create a child-friendly city, and multiple regression analysis to evaluate the data. Results from the analysis showed that, among the six child-friendly areas, “play and leisure” had a significant influence upon the community satisfaction of children and adolescents in both the analysis by group and the overall group of elementary, middle, and high school students. Based on the results of the study, to improve community satisfaction of children and adolescents, multi-faceted and empirical efforts by local governments to expand the conditions for safe rest and play in the local community in accordance with the principle of guaranteeing “children’s right to play” are needed. However, this study has limitations in that it used data from a specific autonomous district, and further research is needed through the collection and utilization of data from child-friendly cities nationwide.
