초록
With the continuous development of technology, the E-book market will continue to expand. E-books have various advantages that can compensate for the physical disadvantages of paper books. Based on the Value-Based Adoption Model, this study attempted to explore the possibility of introducing E-books as academic textbooks by empirically analyzing the impact of E-book experience on learners through a questionnaire after using E-books in actual lectures for one semester. The main results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the usefulness of E-books had a positive effect on the intention to continue using E-books. It is interpreted that the greater the usefulness of E-books, the stronger the intention to continue using E-books. Second, the pleasure of using E-books had a positive effect on the intention to continue using. Third, the technology cost of using E-books had a negative effect on the intention to continue using E-books, but it was not a statistically significant result. Fourth, similar technology costs had a significant negative effect on the intention to continue using E-books. The negative effects of similar technology costs such as the burden of preparing digital devices and the price of E-books remind us that various studies on the right to learn in a digital environment are needed. This study of the influencing factors on the intention to continue using academic E-books will be an important attempt for the harmonious and continuous development of the academic book market that will increase with the upcoming technological development.
