오늘날의 동아시아 세계에서 사람과 사람 사이의 관계를 규정하고 있는 근간은 여전히 유교적 사회윤리라고 할 수 있다. 그렇다고는 하지만 각각의 지역에서 토착화하여 오랜 세월에 걸쳐서 여러 가지 요소와 융합하거나, 또는 시대와 더불어 변화하여 오늘날에는 도저히 받아들이기 어려운 부분도 있다. 그러나 무질서나 혼돈, 파괴에의 공포, 반反문명주의에의 도피, 인간불신의 절대전제사회絶對專制社會를 경험하면서 오늘날까지 연면히 전해진 것으로, 오직 인격의 도야와 치세의 실현을 이상으로 하는 유학대계를 쉽게 포기할 수는 없다. 현대에서 유교전통문화의 계승이라는 것은 필연적으로 반성적이고 비판적으로 이것을 이어받아 다음 세대에 전한다고 하는 것이리라.
Abstract
The foundation that is prescribing the relationship between person and person in contemporary East Asia, may be still ethics of society in confucianism. Nevertheless, in these day there are still hard parts to be accepted, fused with various element for long time, coming to stay in respective area, or changed with the times. However, experiencing disorder or chaos, terror of destruction, escape to counterculture, and despotic society of person doubt, continuously as that which is conveyed up to this day, we can't give up easily the confucian grand design that considers only personal cultivation and realization of peaceful times as an ideal. In the modern, to succeed culture of confucian tradition is to inherit it through out introspection and to convey it next generation by necessity.
