한국·대만·일본의 환경문제 인지 및 실천에 관한 시민의식 연구

인간이 활동함으로서 필연적으로 발생되는 각종 부수 생산물이 자연환경 및 생활환경에 이롭지 못한 방향으로 작용하여 이들 환경을 파괴시키는 현상을 환경문제라고 정의할 수 있다. 이러한 한 국가의 환경문제는 국경을 초월하여 타국에도 심각한 피해를 미치기 때문에 국경을 초월한 전 지구적 차원의 공동 노력이 필요한 상황이기도 하다. 이와 더불어 환경문제의 해결과 건강한 환경상태를 지키기 위해서는 우선 각국 시민들의 적극적인 동참이 필요하다고 하겠다. 이 연구에서는 환경문제 해결을 위한 한국·대만·일본 시민들의 환경문제에 대한 인지와 실천을 중심으로 한 시민의식을 실증적으로 분석해 보았다. 환경문제에 대한 인지와 실천에 관한 분석결과를 종합적으로 살펴보면 환경에 대한 올바른 가치관 및 태도를 기르고, 환경문제의 탐구 및 예방활동에 참여하게 하는 환경교육을 더욱 강화하는 것이 효과적인 환경문제 해결수단이 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Environmental issues are about harmful impacts of human activity upon the biophysical environment. Major current environmental problems may include climate change, pollution, environmental degradation, and resource depletion, and the like. These problems are addressed at a regional, national or international level by government organizations. By using the international social survey programme 2010, this study analyzed the structure of attitudes to environmental protection among Korea, Taiwan and Japan citizens. Sustainability is the key to preventing or reducing environmental contradictions and disasters. It is now quite clear that humans are living in unsustainable ways, and thus that the collective efforts are needed to stop it and to confine their use of natural resources to within sustainable limits. This study shows how much environmental education needs to be. Environmental education refers to the organized efforts to teach about how natural environments function and how people control their activities and manage ecosystems in order for humans to continue their life from generation to generation on the earth.
