초록

The Knowledge of green consumer is very important as a motive for environmental protection and the corporation growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences by comparing student and adult sample in Korea and America based on the model explaining the relationship between the knowledge of environment and environmentally conscious behavior. According to the contrastive and analytic findings, firstly, environmental knowledge has a direct effect on environmentally conscious behavior in Korean student sample whereas an additional indirect effect through perceived consumer effectiveness is found in Korean adult sample. In American sample, however, both the student and adult data show the only indirect effect of environmental knowledge on environmentally conscious behavior. Secondly, the statistical significance of four structural paths is proven to be different between student and adult in the Korean data while the only one path is significantly different in the American data.
