한국판 성인용 기질적 탐욕 척도의 타당화

초록

본 연구의 목적은 Seuntjens, Zeelenberg, Van de ven과 Breugelmans(2015)가 개발한 기질적 탐욕 척도를 번안하고 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전국 성인 800명을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하였으며, 기질적 탐욕 척도의 요인구조를 확인하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 한국판 기질적 탐욕 척도는 원척도와 달리 2요인 구조를 가지고 있었고, 내적 일치도는 양호한 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 한국판 기질적 탐욕 척도는 물질주의 척도(MVS), 극대화 수준 척도(MS), 시기심 척도(DES), 충동성 척도(BIS), 자기통제력 척도(BSCS), 한국판 도박문제 선별 척도(K-CPGI), 삶의 만족도 척도(SWLS)와 유의한 상관을 보여 수렴 및 변별 타당도를 충족하였다. 셋째, 한국판 기질적 탐욕 척도는 물질주의를 통제한 후에도 도박문제에 대한 유의한 증분 설명량을 보여줌으로써 증분 타당도가 검증되었다. 이상의 결과를 고려할 때, 한국판 기질적 탐욕 척도는 신뢰도와 타당도가 확인되었으며 이는 우리나라 성인의 기질적 탐욕을 타당하게 평가하는 도구임을 시사한다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의 및 제한점, 후속연구의 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop the Korean version of the Dispositional Greed Scale (DGS) and examine the psychometric properties of the measure. In 800 adults, we administered factor analysis to explore the factor structure of the DGS and examine its, reliability and validity. The results showed that the Korean version of the DGS (K-DGS) indicated two factor model fit, having a good reliability. The K-DGS total score was significantly correlated with scores on material value, maximization, dispositional envy, impulsiveness, self-control, problem gambling, and satisfaction with life, which supported the convergent and discriminant validity of the K-DGS. The K-DGS total scale significantly explained the total variance of problem gambling after controlling for the related psychological variables, which supported incremental validity of the K-DGS. These findings suggest initial evidence that the K- DGS can be a reliable, valid measure of dispositional greed among Korean adults. Limitation of this study and implication for the future research were discussed.
