초록

본 연구는 내현적 자기애가 관계중독에 미치는 영향에서 자기대상욕구의 갈망과 자기대상욕구 회피의 매개효과를 가정하고 이를 검증하고자 하였다. 만 18세부터 만 40세까지의 성인 남녀를 대상으로 총 524명의 설문 자료를 수집하였으며 SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 25.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내현적 자기애와 자기대상욕구, 관계중독은 모두 서로 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 내현적 자기애와 관계중독 간 관계에서 자기대상욕구의 갈망과 회피의 매개효과를 확인하기 위하여 구조방정식 모형을 검증한 결과, 내현적 자기애와 관계중독 간 관계에서 자기대상욕구 갈망과 회피의 완전매개효과를 확인하였다. 즉, 내현적 자기애가 높은 사람일수록 자기대상욕구를 충족시키고자 하는 갈망과 동시에 이를 회피하려는 경향이 나타나며, 이러한 특성이 관계중독을 유발하는 중요한 요인임을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점, 그리고 향후 연구를 위한 제언에 관하여 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine how the hunger for and avoidance of selfobject needs mediate the relationship between covert narcissism and relationship addiction. Data were collected from a sample of 524 adults aged 18 to 40 and analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0. The findings of this study were as follows: First, significantly positive correlations were observed between covert narcissism, selfobject needs, and relationship addiction. Second, structural equation modeling reported that the hunger for and avoidance of selfobject needs fully mediate the association between covert narcissism and relationship addiction. Specifically, those with higher levels of covert narcissism were more likely to exhibit both a heightened desire for and avoidance of selfobject needs, which functioned as a key factor in relationship addiction. The significance and limitations of this study were discussed, and recommendations for future research directions were proposed.
