Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the overseas program Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training(MB-EAT), for women with binge eating behavior. A total of 31 women with binge eating behavior were recruited, with 15 assigned to the treatment group and 16 to the control group. The MB-EAT program was delivered non-face-to-face, with sessions lasting 120 minutes each, conducted twice a week for a total of 12 sessions. All participants completed pre-test, post-test, and follow-up test after 2 months. The results showed significant improvements in the treatment group compared to the control group, and these improvements were maintained at the follow-up assessment. The study provides evidence supporting the effectiveness of MB-EAT in addressing binge eating issues through remote program delivery. Limitations of the study and suggestions for future research are discussed.
