한국의 창극과 태국의 리께의 비교 : 형성과 변천을 중심으로

Abstract
This research is a comparative study which is focused on the history of formation, evolution and performance of the thai music drama <Likay> and the traditional korean opera <Changguk>. <Changguk> and <Likay> are traditional performances that began to play under the foreign influences and developed as an indoor theatre which were played by professional actors in the twentieth century. <Changguk> has three elements of performances including costumes, the humor and the quick pace of the performance like <likay>. Performers or actors improvise their dialogues and song lyrics, accompanied by the traditional orchestra(music), following the scenario provided by the story-teller. The repertoire includes a large number of contemporary stories set in the earlier times and a few modern ones, all treated in a light, romantic-comedy vein. These two art forms evolved through the 20th century and into the 21th century as an increasingly strong candidate for the position of "intangible cultural property".
