초록

While 'common' scientific discovery within a scientific community is made by the faithful acceptance of dominant analytic canons, significant or 'initial' discovery leading to the revolutionary shift in research programme is an outcome of strategic political action to break out of the existing knowledge-production governance network. Rational choice and 'methodological habit' of scientists to conform to the scientific hegemony, which guarantee scientific and non-scientific interests for collaborators, produce the inescapable 'essential tension' inducing the conscious effort of 'outlaw scientists' to search for a free and creative heuristic. History of science shows that the process of significant scientific discoveries, e. g., Issac Newton's discovery of the gravity and entailing construction of the Newtonian system of physics, was a conscious and strategic endeavor to gain political as well as socioeconomic patronage.
