초록
Ventricular dysphonia is a functional voice disorder, but for patients with severe vocal fold scarring, structural defects, or significant atrophy, false vocal fold phonation can be an alternative. This study reports two cases of female patients (35 and 38 years old) with severe glottic insufficiency and subsequent aphonia who underwent ventricular fold augmentation followed by voice therapy and home program. Therapy included vocal hygiene education and training to phonate using the false vocal folds, progressing from humming and voiced lip trills to vowels and sentences. After treatment, both patients achieved ventricular phonation, with improvements in some objective and subjective measures. However, the fundamental frequency remained low, roughness, and vocal fatigue persisted, limiting overall clinical improvement. Further research is needed to explore factors affecting treatment efficacy.
