경찰공무원의 성역할 태도 형성요인 및 성역할 태도가 직장 내 대인관계 갈등에 미치는 영향

이 연구의 목적은 성역할 태도가 남성위주 문화를 지니고 있는 경찰조직 내에서 어떻게 작용하고 있는가를 분석하고자 하였다. 특히 경찰공무원 개인의 인구사회학적 특성과 근무환경적 특성 중 성역할 태도 형성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색해보고 남녀경찰관의 성역할 태도가 직장 내 상사와 동료와의 대인관계 갈등에 어떠한 영향력을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 성별, 재직기간, 계급이 성역할 태도에 영향을 미치는 변수로 확인되었다. 여성보다는 남성이 전통적 성역할 태도를 지니고 있으며, 계급이 높아질수록 근대적 성역할 태도를 지니고 있으며, 재직기간이 오래된 경찰공무원일수록 전통적 성역할 태도를 지닌 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 전통적 성역할 태도를 지닌 경찰공무원일수록 상사 및 동료와의 관계에서 일정한 갈등과 스트레스를 경험하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구는 경찰공무원의 성역할 태도를 진단함으로써, 여성경찰관의 효율적 업무성과에 있어서 구성원들의 인식과 평가의 중요성을 시사하고, 미래의 다원화된 치안서비스 수요를 충족하기 위해 여성 경찰인력에 대한 새로운 접근을 시도하였다. 연구결과를 토대로 경찰공무원의 남녀평등 인식 제고 및 체계적인 양성평등 교육 필요성에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study explored Police officer´s Gender role attitudes, and analyzed Gender role attitudes, male-dominated police organizational culture in how it works. Especially. The impact demographic characteristics of police officers and the characteristics of the working environment to Police officer´s Gender role attitudes has been examined. and the effects of Gender role attitudes on Interpersonal relationship conflict were examined. Analysis of the results, Gender, tenure, and rank affected Police officer´s Gender role attitudes. and Men than women had a traditional gender role attitude, and the more high-caste people had a equal gender role attitude, and the more long tenure people had a traditional gender role attitude. In addition, The police officer who had a traditional gender role attitude. experienced the conflict and stress in relationships with superiors and colleagues. In the conclusion, policy implications for developing an effective police personnel management strategy and necessity of recognized the need for gender equality are discussed.
