음악치료 프로그램이 경도인지장애노인의 기분상태 및 무력감에 미치는 영향

이 연구의 목적은 음악치료 프로그램이 경도인지장애 노인의 기분상태 및 무력감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위한 목적으로 시행되었다. 연구는 2013년 4월 1일부터 5월 10일까지 사전·사후 통제집단설계에 의거하여 매주 2회씩 50분간 6주에 걸쳐 총 12회기가 실시되었다. 연구대상은 서울시 G구의 노인주간보호센터를 이용하는 경도인지장애 노인 8명을 실험집단으로, D구의 경도인지장애 노인 8명을 통제집단으로 선정하여 음악치료를 통한 사전·사후 기분상태 검사와 무력감 검사의 점수에 어떤 변화가 있는지 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 기분상태 변화에 있어 음악치료를 실시한 실험집단은 음악치료를 실시하지 않은 통제집단에 비해 사전-사후 기분상태 점수가 감소하여 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 둘째, 무력감 변화에 있어 음악치료를 실시한 실험집단은 음악치료를 실시하지 않은 통제집단에 비해 사전-사후 무력감 점수가 감소하여 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 셋째, 기분상태와 무력감 점수 간에 기분상태가 개선될수록 무력감이 감소하여 통계적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 음악치료 프로그램이 경도인지장애 노인의 기분상태를 개선시키고 무력감을 감소하여 삶의 질을 향상시키는데 유용한 치료방안이 될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate what effects therapeutic music activities have on feeling conditions and helplessness of the Elderly with mild cognitive impairment. This study implemented preliminary and post control group design from April 1 to May 10, 2013. It was conducted twice a week, 50 minutes a session, and total 12 times for 6 weeks. The subjects of the study were as followed: 8 aged people with mild cognitive impairment who use day care center for the elderly in G district were selected to be an experimental group, and another 8 old people with mild cognitive impairment from D district became a control group. What changes there were in feeling conditions and helplessness of the subjects before and after music therapy were analyzed. The results of the study are following: first, in the change of feeling conditions, the experimental group which conducted therapeutic music activities was statistically significant, as its preliminary-post feeling condition scores were more reduced than that of control group which did not have therapeutic music activities. Second, in the change of helplessness, the experimental group which had therapeutic music activities was statistically significant as its preliminary-post helplessness scores were more reduced than that of control group which did not perform therapeutic music activities. Third, it was proved that, between scores of feeling conditions and helplessness, as feeling condition is improved, helplessness is reduced, so they have statistically significant positive correlation. Therefore, it is considered that therapeutic music activity improves feeling conditions and reduces helplessness of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment, so it can be a useful therapeutic method that enhances quality of life.
