Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a Korean key logging program as a research tool for studying the Korean writing process. Accordingly, this study reviewed the output data of the Inputlog program developed abroad, and developed a prototype of a Korean keystroke logging program (tentatively called 'KoLogger') based on Python. KoLogger was designed to record 1) the key value pressed and 2) the time each pressed, 3) the insertion position of the key value in the text, and 4) the entire text content according to the passage of time. The timestamp data produced by the KoLogger showed a difference of up to 0.015 seconds from the Inputlog program. The developed program is publicly available on github.
