In this paper, I tried to analyse the information structures of German in the framework of Lexical Functional Grammar (LFG). The phenomena are considered to be the interface-phenomenon between phonology and syntax. Therefore, in order to explain or analyse such interfaces we need a thoery, which contains a phonological and a syntactical module. Nowadays syntactic theories within the generative grammar tend to extend or revise its own internal mechanisms for explaining various interfaces. In LFG there are some proposals, where various structures are assumed, but no proposals, which treat the interaction between syntactic structures and phonological structures. In this paper, I have shown how the c-structure interacts with the p-structure, and how the i-structure come from the interaction between the both structures. Furthermore I have presented some typical types of information structures in German by means of such mechanisms. In this paper I have aimed to extend the LFG for the description of information structure, therefore I have analysed some basic phenomena of German. In the future I will treat some more complex information structures of German and other languages in order to verify or revise the proposed mechanisms.
