고불총림과 봉암사결사의 비교

Abstract

This study is a comparative study of Gobulchongrim(고불총림) and Bongamsa Gyeolsa(봉암사‌결사),‌which have historical achievements in Korean modern Buddhist history.‌ Gobulchongrim and Bongamsa Gyeolsa are different in terms of individual significance,‌character,‌Buddhist thought,‌and influence.‌ However,‌since they were associations that developed in the liberated space,‌ the two associations also had similar aspects in terms of purpose and intelligence.‌Considering this,‌the author compared the two associations from the following perspectives. First,‌the content and character of the two associations were explained from the perspective of the six principles (when,‌where,‌who,‌why,‌what,‌how,‌why) that explain events and movements. Second,‌ the content of the two associations was compared from the perspective of the six principles.‌Through this,‌the similarities and differences of the two associations were presented. Third,‌ the two associations were compared from the perspective of succession.‌This presented the differences in the associations’‌data collection,‌ research,‌publication of books,‌and promotion after the associations ended. I hope that this thesis,‌written from the above perspective,‌will be helpful for the study of Gobulchongrim,‌Bongamsa Gyeolsa,‌Manam,‌Seongcheol,‌ Baekyangsa,‌Bongamsa,‌and modern and contemporary Gyeolsa.
