노인의 자원봉사활동의 참여동기가 자기효능감 및 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 제천시 노인복지관의 남성 및 여성 노인자원봉사자를 중심으로

오늘날 고령화의 추세에 따라 노인들의 사회참여가 활발해지는 가운데 노인들의사회참여활동의 중요성이 점차 부각되어가고 있다. 현대사회에서 성공적 노화의 문제는 비단 개인적인 과제에 국한하지 않으며 사회나 국가적인 과제로 부상하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 노인 자원봉사활동에 있어서 동기의 측면이 간과되고 있음에 주목하여 노인 자원봉사활동에 있어 참여동기가 자기효능감과 심리적 안녕감에미치는 효과성을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 제천시 소재의 노인복지관을 중심으로 60세 이상의 노인 340명을 대상으로 조사하였으며 최종 310명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인 자원봉사활동의 참여동기가 자기효능감에 미치는 영향은 성별에 따라 다르다고 할 수 있다. 즉, 남자 노인은 대의적동기가 높은 반면 여성 노인의 경우 자기개발동기 및 주변권유에 의한 외부동기도자기효능감에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 자원봉사활동의참가동기는 심리적 안녕감의 하위요인에 모두 정적인 영향이 있었으며, 성별로는 남성 노인인 경우 대의동기가 여성 노인인 경우 자기개발동기, 외부동기 그리고 여가동기가 심리적 안녕감에 효과적인 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 본 연구결과를 통하여정책적이며 실천적인 현장으로부터 노인 자원봉사활동의 자원봉사활동 참가동기가고려될 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구가 공공관리한 차원의 정책적인현장에서 노인의 자원봉사활동의 동기와 욕구를 수렴하는 방안에 도움이 되고, 노인의 자기효능감과 심리적 안녕감 함양에 도움이 되어, 나아가 지역사회를 통한 긍정적인 노인상 함양에 도움이 되었으면 하는 바람이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand what effects the elderly volunteer'smotivations work has on their self-efficacy and psychological wellbeing. This analysisfocused on the motivation's types and incentives of seniors' voluntary activities. In other words, the characteristics of this study is to empirically verify the effects of voluntarymotivations which influences the senior self-efficacy and psychological wellbeing. This study based on the survey of 310 seniors in Je-cheon Elderly Welfare Center. And the study made a regression analysis based on the survey. As the result of the study of the effects of participation incentives of voluntarymotivations on self-efficacy, it is found that as the parts of participation incentives, such as self-development motives, general motives, and external motives rise, there is more sense of self-efficacy. Secondly, After analyzing the effects of participation incentives of voluntary activities on psychological well-being, it has become clear that as the parts of participation incentives, such as self-development motives, general motives, and external motives rise, the sense of psychological well-being improves more. The hope it that this study is to be a useful research for understanding the development of elderly volunteer activities and their effects on themselves.
