결혼이주여성 사회적 배제의 도농(都農) 간 차이 분석 및 정책적 처방: 베트남출신 결혼이주여성을 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 결혼이주여성이 한국사회에서 당면하고 있는 사회적 배제의 정도와 실태를 지역 간에 비교·분석하고, 이에 입각하여 적절한 정책처방을 모색하려는 것이다. 이를 위하여 우선 사회적 배제의 개념과 하위요인을 이론적으로 탐색하고, 이에 입각하여 분석변수를선정하였다. 다음에는 결혼이주여성의 거주지역을 농촌지역과 도시지역으로 구분하여 사회적배제의 각 하위 요인별로 거주기간, 연령, 학력수준, 소득수준 등의 사회경제적 변수별로 어떠한 차이가 있는 지를 비교·분석하였다. 여기서 농촌지역은 군(郡)지역, 도시지역은 광역시지역을 대상으로 하였다. 다음에는 경제적 빈곤을 종속변수로 하여 농촌지역과 도시지역 간의 영향요인의 차이도 분석하였다. 마지막으로는 실증분석을 토대로 결혼이주여성의 사회적 배제에대처하기 위한 정책방안을 제시하였다. 연구방법은 농촌과 도시지역에 거주하는 결혼이주여성을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 실시하고, 이를 토대로 이들의 사회적 배제 정도 및 실태를 도농(都農) 간에 비교하였다. 분석결과, 도시지역이 사회적 배제의 모든 하위요인들에서 농촌지역보다 배제의 정도가 높았다. 거주기간, 연령, 학력수준, 소득수준 등의 사회경제적 변수에 따라서도 사회적 배제의 정도가 지역 간에 상당한 차이가 있었다. 경제적 배제를 종속변수로 한다중회귀분석에서도 영향요인들이 지역 간에 차이가 있었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to comparatively analyze the level and current situation of social exclusion with which migrant women are confronted in Korea, and to suggest policy responses to tackle their social exclusion. To the end, this article first explored the concept and components of social exclusion and formulated the analytical framework to support following empirical research. The next chapter comparatively analyzed the differences of social exclusion between rural and urban migrant women in terms of length of residence, age, academic backgrounds, and household income level. The consecutive chapter explored the difference of influence factors between rural and urban sectors setting economic poverty as an dependent variable. The final chapter suggested policy measures to tackle migrant women’s social exclusion. With regard to research method, this article conducted a survey targeting the immigrant women from Vietnam in rural and urban sectors, in order to compare the level and current situation of migrant women’s social exclusion. According to the analysis of survey research, migrant women in urban sector showed higher level of social exclusion than those in rural sector in almost all the sub-variables of social exclusion. There was remarkable difference between rural and urban sectors in terms of length of residence, age, academic backgrounds, and household income level. Multiple regression analysis, setting economic exclusion as a dependent variable, also showed the significant difference of influence factors between rural and urban sectors.
