본 연구는 한부모여성의 건강불평등 정도를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국민건강영양조사 데이터 2005년, 2010년, 2014년도를 분석하였으며, 연령 범위는 19∼64세 여성을 대상으로 한정하였다. 건강불평등 측정방법은 로지스틱 회귀분석에 의한 교차비를 활용하였으며, 사회경제적 지위에 따른 한부모여성과 양부모여성의 교차비, 불건강 수준 및 장기질환유병에 관한 한부모여성의 양부모여성에 대한 교차비를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 한부모여성이 양부모여성에 비해 건강불평등 상태에 있으며 직업 계층, 소득 수준, 교육 수준 등에 있어서도 하위계층으로 갈수록 건강위험성이 크게 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 빈곤(소득 수준)과 근로상태는 한부모여성과 양부모여성의 건강 차이를 16.9%에서 46.3% 사이에서 설명하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 사회정책의 경로로 현재까지 아동양육비 중심의 소극적 지원 사업 보다는 고용지원, 소득보장 등 각 부문 간 포괄적 지원책의 필요성을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyse health inequality between lone and couple mothers in Korea. Method: To this end, data of National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005, 2010 and 2014 were analyzed and age range was limited to target the 19-64 year-old women. A method of measuring the health inequality was utilizing odds ratio by logistic regression and it were analyzed by the odds ratios of lone and couple mothers according to socioeconomic status, related to unhealthy levels and long-term disease prevalence. Conclusion: In sum, lone mothers are in health inequalities status compared to couple mothers and also, in occupational hierarchy, income level, education level, etc, it showed significantly higher toward the lower layer about health risk. Poverty(income level) and employment status is shown to explain the difference between health of lone and couple mothers from 16.9% to 46.3%. To reduce the health gap between lone and couple mothers, comprehensive supporting programs including employment assistance and income security are needed beyond the cash benefit for child care as pathway of social policy.
