사회안전을 위한 민간경비산업의 전망과 전문 인력 수급 방안

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the prospect of domestic private security industry that pursues to be a general security industry and to propose the method to supply and demand specialized manpower accordingly. While the private security industry of Korea expands its market mainly in the area of system security, facilities guard and personal protection, it seems that patrol guard and special guard also have competitiveness. Especially, thanks to the development of information communication industry and video industry, the area of system security is growing to be the most advanced industry of the future, creating new additional value. However, the market cannot be expanded without the own effort of industry, support of academic circle and positive assistance of supervisory government office. In the social security, the private security industry is expanding its business area not only to private area but also to public area and even national security, a highly public area. The university and educational institutions which are to lead private security industry of Korea in the future shall closely analyze the manpower required by industrial circles in order to train and cultivate specialized quality manpower necessary in the industrial site. In addition, they should study scholastic theory and politic alternative which can lead domestic private security industry in order to present it to related institutions and society. It is required to periodically analyze the trend of international private security industry and to suggest the future direction of private security industry in Korea. The supervisory government office shall study law and institutions so that cultivation and publicity rather than regulation are emphasized and business is guaranteed to the maximum.
