해방 전 이른바 ‘시’를 지칭하는 용어 고찰 -학교 잡지를 중심으로

Abstract

The paper is written about the school magazine which were published before the Liberation of Korea. It is considered how the genre of the poems was determined and how the name of genre had been changed. Before 1900s century in Korea, there was no such concept of the term "genre". Therefore the poem was belonged to a category of general literatures. When the poem was included in the general literature, a classification of the poem was uncertain. In the beginning period, there was no such consistency when the genre at poem was adopted in Korea. The reason is that the definition of genre was not even a matter of concern. In addition, there was no such rules how to classify the poems. The classification of the poem was still awkward in 1910. Since 1920, the term for poem "Si" was coined, however, the term "Siga" was more commonly used than the original term "Si". The lots of term for poem was still searched even though the term "Si" was made. In 1930, the term "Sidan" is more generally used as a contents of the poem. In 1940, the connotation of the genre become uncertain again. It is probably assumed that the Japan's government policy of Korea affected it. The poem genre history of school magazine meant that the name for poem's genre was newly regulated in many ways and names without the imitating of its name.
