Abstract
The purpose of this study was to estimate the relationship among obesity, Immunoglobulin(IgG, IgA, IgM), physical activity and physical fitness in premenopausal women. The subjects were 40-50 years old and were classified by BMI and % body fat: Normal (n=15), Obese group (n=15). Blood samples and physical fitness test were measured. IgG, IgM levels were higher in the normal group than in the obese group but there was no significant difference. IgA was significantly higher in the normal group(p<.05). The cardiovascular endurance and muscle strength were significantly higher in over 10,000 steps/day group(p<.05). Muscle endurance and flexibility was significantly higher in normal group and strength was significantly higher in obese group(p<.05). Cardiovascular endurance was higher in normal group and balance was higher in obese group but there was no significant difference. There were significantly positive relationships between BMI and strength(r=.383, p<.05). And there were negative relationships between %body fat and cardiovascular endurance(r=-.365, p=.056). Cardiovascular endurance was positive correlated with IgG(r=.351, p=.067). Also physical activity was significantly correlation with strength(r=.507, p<.05) and cardiovascular endurance(r=.565, p<.05). Results indicated that the higher immunoglobulin classes(IgG, IgA, IgM) and main factor of physical fitness in menopausal were detected in normal women. From the results that obesity related with Immunoglobulin and physical fitness, this study may provide information to plan healthy life.
