수영 꿈나무 선수들을 통해 본 영재성과 코칭행동

이 연구는 수영종목에서 일찍 그 재능을 인정받고 있는 꿈나무 선수들과 지도자를 통해 수영의 영재성과코칭의 내용을 탐색하는 데 목적을 두고 실시하였다. 이 연구는 수영 꿈나무 선수 36명과 이들의 지도자 8명을 통해 개방형 설문을 이용해 자료를 받았으며, 제공된 자료는 귀납적 범주화를 통해 연구주제와 관련된 요인을 추출하였다. 첫째, 수영 꿈나무 선수들이 다른 선수들에 비해 뛰어나게 생각하는 능력은 운동수행능력, 기술적 능력, 심리적 능력, 기타요인 순 이었다. 둘째, 수영 꿈나무 지도자들이 생각하는 수영 영재성은 운동능력조건, 심리적 조건, 태도 조건, 사회환경적 조건 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 현장 지도자들이 수영 영재를 발굴하는 데 있어서 겪는 어려움은 장소 및 전문 지도자와 관련한 훈련요소, 종목에 대한 부정적 인식 요소, 선수인성요소, 행정 요소 순으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 수영에 재능이 있는 어린 선수들을 지도할 때 주안점은 체력/기술 요소, 심리적 요소, 개인차 고려, 사회적 지원 순으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과는 수영 꿈나무 선수뿐만아니라 기타 종목 선수들의 영재성 탐색과 계발, 효과적인 코칭활동에 활용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore sport talent and coaching in swimming through promising young swimmers. Open-ended questionnaires were used to examine the sport talent and coaching behavior in 36 promising young swimmers and 8 coaches. The results of open-ended questionnaires were analyzed by content analysis. As a results, First, promising young swimmers have sports performance ability, skill ability,psychological ability. Second, sport talent in swimming by coaches were explored sport performance condition,psychological condition, attitude condition and social environment condition. Third, the difficulty of finding sport talent were explored training factor, negative perceptions of sport, athlete's personality and administration factor. Fourth, Emphasis when teaching promising young swimmers were explored fitness/skill factor, psychological factor, considering individual differences factor and social support factor.
